About Me
I am an inspirational, effective and committed Teacher with over 20 years of experience teaching Maths and PE combined with considerable knowledge of supporting pupils with SEND. I have a demonstrable record of helping pupils progress and achieve their potential. I am reliable, conscientious, passionate about learning and aspire to do my very best to fully support each of my students.
Teaching Maths has been a passion all my working life. I prepare engaging lessons tailored to my students needs using a modern online platform inventively adapted to create a side-by-side learning experience. I work step-by-step with young people to problem solve and prepare for exams or sometimes to gain confidence and motivation to persevere with `tricky topics.` All lessons are fully recorded and emailed after every session for my students to review, as a record of learning and to provide a personal revision library.
I am fully DBS checked and safeguarding trained and am currently employed in a North Devon Primary School.

My Expertise
I hold a BA(Ed) with Honours in Physical Education and Maths and have extensive subject knowledge of Maths and the National Curriculum. I am currently tutoring students online 1 to 1, and in small groups, from Year 2 up to and including GCSE level. I work with two national tutoring companies and also schools supporting children with diverse needs including those with Education and Health Care Plans. My ambition is to instil a sense of confidence and fulfilment in the young people I tutor, help them to overcome barriers to success, and enable them to recognise and value their own contribution in what they achieve.
